Folded paper featuring the words ‘It’s not the way that I should but I love you anyway’ extracted from the artist’s dream journal. Displayed alongside a delicate lamb ear sculpture, created using a willow frame and stitched paper. The piece explores the artist’s experience of healing from traumas through dreaming, as well as the fragile and painstaking process of recovering from the lifelong effects of living with BPD alongside other chronic mental health conditions. The intricate stitching through delicate paper conveys the daily struggles of balancing progress with maintaning stability for example being a productive creative vs facing the effects of burn out.
